Yoga

Registration Fee: $65 Per Session

Join us on a wellness journey with our new yoga course. Explore the benefits of yoga through essential stretches and poses that make up the foundation of yoga (stretching asanas), and time in restorative and meditation cooldown (shavasana). Each 60-minute session will conclude with a serene 15-minute meditation. Whether you're a seasoned yogi or a beginner, this class invites all ages 18 and over to embrace the transformative power of yoga. Bring your mat and water to class.

With over two decades of personal yoga practice, Jeri LaMar embraced her passion by becoming a certified yoga instructor in 2017. Her journey led her to Kauai, Hawaii, where she completed a 500-hour yoga teaching program in 2019. Dedicated to fostering well-being, Jeri continues to share the transformative benefits of yoga with others.

Designing Your Life: Education for International Travel

Registration Fee: $60

Curious about international travel? Eager to expand your perspective? Ready to take charge inbuilding your unique story? Whether studying abroad, volunteering, participating in a work program, backpacking, or exploring travel tourism, our discoverybased educational course is designed to empower the traveler within you. This course will guide students on how to research, budget, and execute a personalized travel plan, opening-up new opportunities into their lives. We will discuss safety tips, cultural awareness, booking accommodations, and more. No prior travel experience required, just a thirst for adventure. Bring a 1-inch, three ring, binder/notebook.

Kimberly Shumaker is a world traveler and accomplished interior designer. She holds a bachelor’s in fine arts from San Diego State University and is a graduate of Landmarks’ Curriculum for Living. Her experience includes earning a TEFL Certification and teaching English throughout Asia, backpacking extensively throughout South; Central America, working in the hospitality; tourism industry in the Caribbean US Virgin Islands, and designing an award-winning boutique hotel in Saint Edwards State Park, WA. She became hooked on international travel in 2009 after studying at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts School in Istanbul, Turkey

Basic Drawing

$80

Have you ever wished you could draw beyond stick figures? If yes, please join us for a relaxing, pressure-free Basic Drawing class designed for everyone, regardless of experience! We’ll focus on drawing what we see, not what we think we see. Throughout the course, you’ll learn about human proportions, shading, positive and negative space, and foreshortening. Unleash your creativity and gain new skills in a supportive environment. Don’t miss this opportunity—register today!  

Bring the following items to class: 9 x 11 sketchbook, #2 pencils, and eraser(s).

Students need to bring handheld mirror from home to the 1st and 5th classes (mirror size 5-6 inches).

Cecilia Fraher received her degree in fashion design from Brooks college, Long Beach in 1979. She became a successful designer eventually branching out into textile design & manufacturing. After earning a second degree in business, she opened her own business and moved to San Diego. Once there she began as a marketing designer for the California center for the arts Escondido in charge of special projects. One of her projects was to develop and teach a basic drawing class to adults that would give them the building blocks necessary to enter the arts with confidence.

Wellness Through Art

$65 per session

This 4-week Art and Wellness class is designed for adults of all levels, including newly budding artists. This course blends mental well-being practices with a creative environment, encouraging participants to grow their appreciation of art and explore their creativity. Each class will open with mediation education and self-discovery practices, followed by engaging in various analog art forms such as painting, sculpting, and collage. Bring the following items to classes: paintbrushes, small cups, painting paper, printed pictures, scissors, paste/glue, rags, aprons. First class focuses on painting.

Fae (Caitlan) Rose Johnson is a lifelong artist. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Her passion lies in community building, organizing, and promoting wellness through the spaces of art and creation. Ms. Johnson has explored nearly all forms of art including, poetry, singing, collaging, chalking, sculpting, and most importantly, painting. Through classes like this one, she hopes to share her knowledge and help participants achieve their artistic goals.
